At Kells Infants School, our vision, currriculum and culture is expected to reflect and support British Values. Our staff recieve training on how to support children who are exposed to extremist views and understand the expectations of the Prevent Strategy which uses Channel to support those at risk of extremism.

Since 2021, we have been working on the Anti-Racist Cumbria Agenda and adapted our Curriculum to support a better understanding of our multi-cultural society.

We use our assemblies, PSHE and Philosophy for Children sessions to support tolerance and to help children develop ways of expressing themselves and disagreeing in a respectful way.
