Safeguarding at Kells Infants

The designated safeguarding team have a clear framework in place to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families. We maintain a professional attitude of 'it could happen here' where Safeguarding is concerned. Where there are concerns about the welfare of a pupil, staff members will always act in the best interests of the child. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility and the schools locally all work closely together to make sure that all the children and young people in our neighbourhood are kept safe, well and thrive.
Our school will continue to maintain an ethos where pupils feel secure, are encouraged to talk, are listened to and feel safe.

If you have a safeguarding concern about a member of staff, this must be reported to the Headteacher. This is part of our Whistleblowing procedures.

We have clear safer Recruitment Policies and abide by these when recruiting staff to work with our children.
